[Adopted by L.L. No. 1-1984 (Ch. 4 of the 1974 Code)]
It is the intent of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Angola to promote the public interest by authorizing appointment to a position as a Village officer or employee of a person who had been an elected official of the Village of Angola and who has resigned his elected position and thus has no further appointive authority. It is the belief of the Board of Trustees in enacting this chapter that the public will be benefited by allowing qualified former elected officials to be eligible for appointive Village positions, thus bringing to the public office or employment the expertise which results from municipal experience.
A former Village Mayor or a former Village Trustee shall be eligible for appointment to fill a vacancy in any Village appointive office or Village appointive position.
