Village of Bayville, NY Chapter 4 Appearance Tickets

[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Bayville 2-26-1979 by L.L. No. 6-1979. Amendments noted where applicable.]

§ 4-1 Authorization and designation.

Notwithstanding any other provision of the Code of the Village of Bayville, the public officers listed below are hereby authorized to issue appearance tickets, returnable in the local Village Court, pertaining to the enforcement of any statute, local law, ordinance, rule or regulation relating to parking, licensing of occupations or businesses, fire prevention and safety, health and sanitation and building, zoning and planning.

A. For the enforcement of any and all provisions of the Code of the Village of Bayville, the below-listed officers:

(1) Village Clerk-Treasurer.

(2) Deputy Village Clerk.

(3) Deputy Village Treasurer.

(4) A member of the auxiliary police of the Incorporated Village of Bayville.

(5) Code Enforcement Officer.

B. For the enforcement of any and all provisions of the Code of the Village of Bayville pertaining to plumbing, building construction, construction administration or unsafe buildings, zoning, sewage disposal systems and water violations, the below-listed officers:

(1) Superintendent of Public Works.

(2) Building Inspector.

(3) Acting Building Inspector.

(4) Code Enforcement Officer.

§ 4-2 Construction of provisions.

The foregoing designations and authorizations are in addition to any and all authorizations heretofore or hereafter given. Any inconsistencies shall be construed in favor of broadened and additional authorization to issue appearance tickets.
