Pursuant to PL 2007, Chapter 699, and amendments PL 2009, Chapter 261, as may be amended in the future, the Town of Topsham is required by the State of Maine to utilize, implement and enforce the Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code (MUBEC), and any previously adopted Building Code is superseded.
The Building Code Ordinance of the Town of Topsham entitled the "BOCA National Building Code, Thirteenth Edition, 1996," and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

The following sections are hereby revised as follows:
A. 
Fees.
(1) 
All fees shall be as established by the Topsham Board of Selectmen, per Chapter 109.
(2) 
All permit fee computations shall be rounded off to the nearest dollar amount.
Exception: Municipal property, including schools, is exempt from permit fees.
B.

Should any section or provisions of this chapter be declared by any court to be invalid, such decision shall not invalidate any other section or provision of this chapter.
