The penalties are expressly provided for a violation of Article VII, and unless another penalty is expressly provided for by the New Jersey statutes, every person convicted of a violation of this chapter, or any supplement thereto, shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $50 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both.
