The administrative functions, powers and duties of statutory and other agencies of the Township government not otherwise allocated and assigned by this chapter shall be subject to the supervision of the Mayor except as other specifically required by law, and for this purpose such statutory and other agencies are allocated and assigned to the office of the Mayor.
A. 
Planning Board. The Planning Board, as heretofore established by ordinance and empowered pursuant to law (N.J.S.A. 40:55-1.4, as amended by Laws of 1970, Chapter 142, Section 1),[1] is continued and the members shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council, as provided by law.[2]

C. 
Municipal Court.
(1) 
The Pohatcong Township Municipal Court, previously created the power and authority granted to the governing bodies by Chapters 264 and 394 of the Laws of 1948,[4] and any amendments or supplements thereto, shall be continued.

(2) 
The municipality shall provide for the appointment of a Municipal Court Judge, fix the salary of such judge and provide for the cost of operating said Court.
D. 
Environmental Commission. The Environmental Commission, as heretofore established by ordinance pursuant to law (Chapter 245, Laws of 1968, N.J.S.A. 40:56A-1 et seq.) to protect, develop and plan and direct the use of natural resources, including water resources, within the municipality, shall be continued and the members shall be appointed by the Mayor.
