All of the parks and playgrounds owned by the Township of Pohatcong, Warren County, New Jersey, shall be closed from darkness on each day until 8:00 a.m. of the succeeding day, prevailing time, and no person or persons shall be permitted or allowed in said parks or playgrounds during the closing time, except with the written permission of the Township Council.

As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
DARKNESS
That period of time after sunset and before dawn, including when the streetlights are illuminated in the park or playground area.
Any person violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine of not more than $500 or by imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days, or both such fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the Judge.

A. 
That the following parks shall be accessible to group activities only by permit:
(1) 
Huntington Park/Ed Alessio Field located on Hunt and Chestnut Streets.
(2) 
Alpha Annex Playground located on Ringwood Avenue.
(3) 
Crestwood Playground located on Francis Street.
(4) 
Southern Pohatcong Playground (Finesville) located on Musconetcong Street.
B. 
Permits shall be granted on the following order of priority:
(1) 
Recognized, organized youth activities within the Township.
(2) 
Residents of Pohatcong Township.
(3) 
All others.
C. 
Permits may be given on a one-time basis or on a seasonal basis.
D. 
Permits may be denied to any person, group or organization which has failed to follow the rules of the park or has failed to repair any defects caused by their use of the park other than ordinary wear and tear.
E. 
Permits shall be obtained from the Clerk's office.
Any person, group or organization failed or refusing to obtain said permit shall be subject to a fine of not more than $1,000 upon finding of guilt and may be refused future access to said park.
