A. There
shall be a Division of Recreation, Natural Resources and Culture,
the head of which shall be the Division Head. The Division Head, with
the approval of the Mayor, shall establish divisions and offices within
the Division for the effective administration of the functions assigned
to the Division.
B. Duties.
The Division shall oversee, develop and maintain the City's natural
resources, parks, trees and open spaces; coordinate the development
and operation of cultural activities, programs and facilities; and
develop and operate recreational activities and programs.
There shall be a Division of Culture, headed
by the Director whose title shall be Administrator, Cultural and Heritage
Affairs. The Division shall:
A. Administer and operate the following cultural institutions,
including: Ellarslie, the Trent House, the Mill Hill Playhouse, the
Eagle Tavern, the Douglass House and the Artworks Building.
B. Coordinate activities of the above institutions and
ensure coordination among the City, state and private cultural and
heritage institutions in the greater Trenton area.
C. Sponsor and administer cultural and heritage programs
and activities in cooperation with other public and private agencies
and organizations.
D. Coordinate with private and public cultural institutions
and funding agencies and advocate for the City's continuing cultural
growth.
E. Under the direction of the Administrator, Cultural
and Heritage Affairs, oversee management of the Mill Hill Playhouse.
F. Under the direction of the Administrator, Cultural
and Heritage Affairs, oversee management of the City Museum at Ellarslie.
G. Under the direction of the Administrator, cultural
and Heritage Affairs, oversee management of the Trent House.
