The Village Engineer is hereby designated as the Plumbing Inspector. The duties of the Plumbing Inspector, in addition to those prescribed by law and those which may be assigned or required by the Board of Trustees, shall be to inspect the construction and alteration of all plumbing work performed in the village, for the sole purpose of ascertaining whether such work complies with the provisions of this chapter and the code adopted as a part hereof, and to keep a report in writing of the result of such inspections, which reports and other records of the Plumbing Inspector shall be maintained in the office of the Building Department.

The Plumbing Inspector or his/her assistant shall, as soon as practicable after receiving a request, make the necessary inspections as required by this chapter and the code.

The Plumbing Inspector, or his/her assistant, in the discharge of his/her duties, shall have authority to enter any building, structure or premises at any reasonable hour.
