This chapter is enacted in recognition of the fact that minors under
the age of 16 years loitering and wandering in or upon the public streets
and ways constitute a hazard not only to their own personal well-being but
to the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the Village and to
their property.
Any minor violating the provisions of §
87-2 shall be dealt with in accordance with Family Court law and procedure. A parent, guardian or other adult violating the provisions of this chapter shall be dealt with in accordance with the penalty clause as provided in Chapter
1, General Provisions, of the Code of the Village of Piermont.
