Uses permitted. The following uses shall be permitted
within all General Business Districts:
(1)Â
All uses permitted in RC Retail Commercial Districts,
subject however to the same requirements and restrictions specified
therefor.
(2)Â
Such additional uses as the following typical listing:
(a)Â
Automotive and appliance sales and service (new
and used).
(b)Â
Boat sales service and livery.
(c)Â
Bottling works.
(d)Â
Bus stations and taxi stands.
(e)Â
Florist greenhouses.
(f)Â
Milk distribution stations.
(g)Â
Trucking terminals.
(h)Â
Wholesale and bulk storage such as building
materials and lumber, contractors' yards, feed stores, etc.
(3)Â
Processing business, provided that no more than 10
persons are employed during a twenty-four-hour period. May include
such types of business as bakeries and confectioneries, laundries
and dry cleaners, printing plants, upholstery and furniture repair
shops, etc.
B.Â
Additional uses by special permit. The following uses shall be permitted upon issuance of a special permit as provided in Article XIV of this chapter:
(1)Â
Philanthropic and charitable institutions.
(2)Â
Public and private clubs, fraternities and lodges.
(3)Â
Indoor theaters, bowling alleys and billiard and pool
parlors.
(4)Â
Tourist homes and rooming and boarding houses.
(5)Â
Motels and auto courts.
(6)Â
Public swimming pools.
(7)Â
Gasoline service stations.
(8)Â
Auto drive-in stands.
(9)Â
Public utility installations.
(10)Â
Undertaking establishments.
A.Â
Lot areas. No business shall be permitted on a lot
containing less than 7,500 square feet, having a lot width less than
50 feet or a depth less than 150 feet.

Lot coverage.
C.Â
Yards required. Yards shall be required as follows:
(1)Â
Front yard: none required; if provided, it shall be
at least 20 feet deep.
(2)Â
Side yards: none required on interior lots; if provided,
they shall be at least four feet wide. Buildings on corner lots shall
observe the front yard requirements for the intersecting street.
(3)Â
Rear yards: at least 20 feet deep.
A.Â
Height limits. No principal building shall exceed
six stories or 75 feet in height. Accessory building height and accessory
structure height shall not exceed 20 feet.
