in the public right-of-way. This includes but is not limited to sign
poles, meters, and trees. All bicycles must be secured to proper bicycle
racks.
Bicycles that are unfit for safe operation or operated recklessly
may be impounded by the Police Department. All bicycles left in the
public right-of-way for more than 24 hours that have not been secured
to a proper storage area will be removed and impounded by the Police
Department or the Department of Public Works.
All bicycles impounded by the Police Department or the Department
of Public Works will be kept for 30 days from the day of their impoundment.
The owner of the bicycle must pick up their bicycle with documentation
that proves ownership within the thirty-day time period. Any bicycle
that is not picked up within 30 days shall be considered abandoned
and will be placed for public auction.
