No person, or persons, shall create,
cause, or continue any unnecessary, unusual, loud, or disturbing noise
within the Town of Vernon; or any noise which is of such character,
duration, volume or intensity; as to unreasonably annoy, disrupt,
or disturb the quiet, comfort, peace or repose of any reasonable person
or such as to be detrimental to the life, health, safety or property
of any person. For purposes of this chapter, a decibel level of greater
than 65 dB when measuring from a common property line is evidence
of noise that is loud or disturbing.
Athletic contests, or other activities, on Town of
Vernon, county or state property expressly authorized or approved
by the Town of Vernon, Waukesha County, and/or any state agency or
department.
Construction, repairs, maintenance, remodeling, demolition,
grading, or other activities related to improvement of real property
between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to dusk.
Emergency vehicle operations or activities and any
other activities necessary for the protection or preservation of property
or of the health, safety, life or limb of some person.
Any noise produced by, or as a result of, any person
engaged in an agricultural enterprise unless otherwise explicitly
prohibited in the Town of Vernon municipal code.
Penalties for a violation of this chapter shall be as described in Chapter 1, § 1-10 of this Code.
