There is hereby created the Ewing Township Fire Advisory Council, which shall consist of 13 members, each having a term of office of one year. Members shall be as follows:
A. 
Each of the three Fire Chiefs of the Volunteer Fire Company serving the respective fire district/response zones of the Township.
B. 
Each of the three Presidents of the Volunteer Fire Company serving the respective fire district/response zones of the Township.
C. 
One civilian, non-fire-company member, from each of the three fire district/response zones, who shall be residents of the Township appointed by the Mayor.
D. 
The Township Business Administrator.
E. 
The Captain or Supervisor of the Township-paid fire staff.
F. 
The President of the Ewing Township Council or his/her designee.
G. 
The Mayor or his/her designee.
The Council shall review and conduct a continuing study of the fire protection and suppression services within the Township and report its findings or recommendations, if any, annually or more often if desirable, to the Mayor concerning such services, including but not limited to company budgets, equipment and staffing levels and equipment replacement.
The Council shall annually establish its schedule of meetings, which shall provide for at least quarterly meetings during the year. At the annual reorganization meeting, the Council shall select one of its members to serve as Chairperson, who shall be the presiding officer at meetings, and may designate such other officers as it may deem necessary. A majority of the whole number of members shall constitute a quorum. Minutes of all meetings shall be prepared and filed with the Municipal Clerk and copied to the Mayor and Administrator.
Members shall serve without compensation.
