Pursuant to the provisions contained in N.J.S.A. 40A:9-141, as amended, the Township Committee of the Township of Mullica, County of Atlantic, State of New Jersey, does hereby alter the existing office of Township Tax Collector to provide that said position shall be filled by the appointment of an individual by the Township Committee.
The Office of Tax Collector of the Township of Mullica is hereby designated an appointed office, and the Tax Collector shall be appointed by the Township Committee, according to state statute. Said office shall be filled by the appointment of one person.
The term of office of the Tax Collector of the Township of Mullica shall be for four years, beginning the first day of January next following his appointment. A vacancy other than due to the expiration of the term shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired term, and as provided in N.J.S.A. 40A:9-142.
The salary of the Tax Collector of the Township of Mullica shall be established by the Township Salary Ordinance.[1]

Any person appointed to the office of Tax Collector of the Township of Mullica shall possess, prior to assuming the duties of office, all qualifications established by the laws of the State of New Jersey and any regulations adopted pursuant thereto.
The duties of the Tax Collector of the Township of Mullica shall be those established by the laws of the State of New Jersey and any regulations adopted pursuant thereto.
The Tax Collector shall be appointed, other than for an unexpired term, at least 30 days prior to the commencement of his term of office and as provided by statute.
