The provisions of this article shall apply except
when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other
traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or
official traffic control device.

A. Bus stops. The stopping of vehicles except buses is
hereby prohibited at bus stops in any of the following locations.
Signs and markings designating such bus stops shall be maintained
at such locations:
(1) Kraft Avenue.
(a)
On the west side, alongside the Bank of New
York.
(b)
On the east side, from the north curbline of
Meadow Avenue for a distance of 94 feet northerly therefrom.
(2) Leonard Morange Square, on the north side of the westbound
lane.
(3) Midland Avenue, on the south side, between Palumbo
Place and Pondfield Road.
(4) Pondfield Road.
(a)
On the east side, at the southeast corner of
Pondfield Road and Tanglewylde Avenue, from the south curbline of
Tanglewylde Avenue to a point 55 feet southerly therefrom.
(b)
On the east side, from the north curbline of
Garden Avenue, to the south curbline of Valley Road.
(c)
In front of #1 Pondfield Road, from a point
27 feet south of the north curbline of Pondfield Road, to a point
71 feet south of the same curbline.
B. Taxicab stands. The stopping of vehicles, except taxicabs,
is hereby prohibited at taxi stands in any of the following locations.
Signs and marking designating such taxicab stands shall be maintained
at such locations:
(1) Railroad platform, northbound.
(2) Leonard Morange Square, east end, at railroad platform.

Except where otherwise expressly permitted by
this chapter, the parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited on all
public highways and in parking meter zones within the Village between
2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., and signs prohibiting such parking shall
be maintained at appropriate locations within the Village.

Parking, for the time limits hereinafter specified, is permitted
in the following locations:
A. DeWitt Avenue, on the west side, from the driveway at 55 DeWitt Avenue,
north, to the driveway at 57 DeWitt Avenue, for a period not to exceed
two hours, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
B. Garden Avenue, on the west side, between Tanglewylde Avenue and Meadow
Avenue, for a period not to exceed two hours.
C. Gramatan Avenue, on the south side, between Pondfield Road and the
Bronxville - Mt. Vernon boundary line, for a period not to exceed
three hours.
D. Hemlock Road.
(1) On the south side, from the east curbline of Midland Avenue to a
point 61 feet easterly therefrom, for a period not to exceed three
hours.
(2) On the north side, from the east curbline of Midland Avenue to a
point 62 feet easterly therefrom, for a period not to exceed three
hours.
E. Kensington Road. On the west side, from the north property line of
73 and 73A Kensington Road to the Tuckahoe border, except where parking
is otherwise prohibited, for a period not to exceed three hours.
F. Kraft Avenue.
(1) On the east side, from a point 37 feet south of the south curbline
of Meadow Avenue, southerly therefrom, to the north end of the property
line of the Dutch Reformed Church, for a period not to exceed two
hours.
(2) On the east side, from a point 114 feet south of the south curbline
of Cedar Street, southerly therefrom, for a distance of 116 feet,
for a period not to exceed one hour.
G. Library Lane. On the east side of the northbound lane, except where
parking is otherwise prohibited; on the west side of the north island;
and on the west side in the angle parking area, excepting the first
seven parking spaces, beginning at the entrance from Midland Avenue,
which are restricted to the use of library staff during library hours,
for a period not to exceed 90 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,
Monday through Saturday.
H. Meadow Avenue.
(1) On the north side, from a point 32 feet east of the east curbline
of Kraft Avenue to a point 20 feet west of the west curbline of Pondfield
Road, for a period not to exceed two hours.
(2) On the north side, from a point 32 feet east of the east curbline
of Kraft Avenue, for a distance of 172 feet easterly therefrom, the
parking of vehicles is prohibited during school hours.
I. Midland Avenue, on the north side, from the west curbline of Kraft
Avenue, westerly, to the driveway for the Midland Gardens Garage,
for a period not to exceed three hours.
K. Parkway Road, on the east side, from the south end of the property
line at #8 Parkway Road, northerly, to the north end of the property
line at #100 Parkway Road, for a period not to exceed two hours, between
the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
L. Pondfield Road.
(1) On the north side, from a point 37 feet east of the curbline of Meadow
Avenue, to a point 255 feet easterly therefrom, and from a point 52
feet west of the curbline of Midland Avenue, to a point 291 feet westerly
therefrom, for a period not to exceed two hours. On days when school
is in session, the parking of vehicles in this location is prohibited
between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., and between the hours
of 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
(2) On the north side, from a point 45 feet east of the curbline of Midland
Avenue, to the intersection of Gramatan Avenue, for a period not to
exceed two hours.
(3) On the south side, from a point 38 feet west of the Village Hall
driveway, to a point 39 feet east of the curbline of Midland Avenue,
for a period not to exceed two hours.
(4) On the south side, from a point 110 feet west of the curbline of
Midland Avenue, to the Reformed Church entrance driveway curbline,
and from a point 67 feet east of the curbline of Meadow Avenue, to
the Bolton Gardens entrance driveway curbline, for a period not to
exceed two hours.
M. Prescott Avenue, on the north side, from a point 50 feet west of
the west curbline of Valley Road, for a distance of 100 feet westerly
to the east end of the private parking area owned by the Merestone
Terrace Association, for a period not to exceed two hours.
N. Sagamore Road, for a period not to exceed two hours between the hours
of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
(1) On the south side, from a point 34 feet northeasterly of the northeast
curbline of Prescott Avenue, northeasterly, to a point 54 feet southwesterly
from the southwesterly curbline of the driveway to 36 to 52 Sagamore
Road.
(2) On the south side, from a point 24 feet northeasterly from the northeasterly
curbline of the driveway to 36 to 52 Sagamore Road, northeasterly,
to the southeasterly curbline of the driveway to 54 to 56 Sagamore
Road.
(3) On the south side, from a point 129 feet northeasterly from the southeasterly
curbline of the driveway to 54 to 56 Sagamore Road, northeasterly
therefrom, to a point 532 feet southwesterly from the west curbline
of Avon Road.
(4) On the south side, from a point 452 feet southwesterly from the west
curbline of Avon Road for a distance of 221 feet northeasterly therefrom.
(5) On the south side, from a point 123 feet northeast of the east curbline
of Avon Road, to the Bronxville-Tuckahoe boundary line northeasterly
therefrom.
(6) On the north side, from a point 48 feet southwest of the west curbline
of Minturn Road, to a point 155 feet northeast of the east curbline
of Avon Road.
(7) On the north side, from a point 52 feet southwesterly from the west
curbline of Avon Road, for a distance of 387 feet southwesterly therefrom.
(8) On the north side, from a point 564 feet southwest of the west curbline
of Avon Road, for a distance of 43 feet southwesterly therefrom.
(9) On the north side, from a point 182 feet northeasterly of the northeast
curbline of Beechtree Lane, for a distance of 95 feet northeasterly
therefrom.

On the north side, from a point 42 feet southwesterly from the
southwest curbline of Beechtree Lane, to a point two feet northeast
of the northeast curbline of the Episcopal Church entrance driveway.
O. Tanglewylde Avenue.
(1) On the east side, from the south curbline of Willow Road, for a distance
of 150 feet; southwesterly therefrom, to the edge of the driveway
at 26 Tanglewylde Avenue for a period not to exceed one hour.
(2) On the east side, from the north curbline of Willow Road, northeasterly
therefrom to a point 29 feet southwesterly from the south curbline
of Vine Street, for a period not to exceed three hours, Monday through
Friday.
(3) On the east side, from the north curbline of Vine Street, northeasterly
therefrom to the southern edge of the driveway at 61 Tanglewylde Avenue,
for a period not to exceed three hours, Monday through Friday.
(4) On the north side, between Park Avenue and Midland Avenue, for a
period not to exceed three hours, Monday through Friday.
P. Vine Street, on both sides, between Tanglewylde Avenue and Midland
Avenue, for a period not to exceed three hours, Monday through Friday.
Q. Willow Road, on the north side, from a point 40 feet east of the
east curbline of the driveway at 1 Willow Circle, to the west curbline
of the driveway at 15 Willow Circle, for a period not to exceed three
hours, Monday through Friday.
R. Park Avenue, on the east side, between Tanglewylde Avenue and Sycamore
Street, for a period not to exceed three hours, from 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Standing, for the time limits herein specified,
is permitted in the following locations for the purpose of and while
actually engaged in receiving passengers or merchandise or discharging
passengers:
A. Cedar Street, on the north side, from a point 20 feet
east of the eastern edge of the McGrath Funeral Home driveway easterly
to the A driveway western edge, for a period not to exceed three minutes.
The Board of Trustees is authorized to issue
a special permit to allow exclusive use of a parking space in a village-owned
lot without payment of fee. The space to be designated and the person
to whom the permit will be issued will be made by Board resolution.
The Board, at its discretion, may review the need to issue this permit
on an annual basis. The permit will be issued to a person named by
the Senior Citizen Coordinating Council. Use by an unauthorized vehicle
will be subject to issuance of summons for prohibited parking. A sign
stating the restricted use is to be placed at the space selected and
designated.

Parking a motor vehicle upon the public streets
or municipal parking lots in the Village of Bronxville without first
having been registered in accordance with the provisions of Article
14, New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law, shall be prohibited.
