Every registration and identification tag shall take effect on the first day of May of each year, or whenever later issued, and shall expire on the succeeding 30th day of April; provided, however, that in order to give ample opportunity for renewing registration, any registration and identification tag in effect on the last day of April may be used during the month of May following, for the operation of the bicycle for which it is issued. The registration and identification tag shall be renewed annually in the same manner and upon payment of the same annual fee as provided in §§
61-1 and
61-2 of this chapter.
In case of transfer of ownership of a registered bicycle, the person
to whom it is transferred shall have the same registered in his own name.
If a registered bicycle is dismantled or destroyed or otherwise removed from
operation, the person in whose name it was registered shall report such fact
to the Chief of Police.
Persons riding or propelling any bicycle shall comply with all applicable
regulations set forth in the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

No bicycle shall be parked in any manner on any village sidewalk.
