The previously existing Planning Board is hereby continued in office, and its members shall continue to serve their appointed terms. Future appointments shall continue to be governed by § 271 of the Town Law.
The Planning Board shall have all powers and duties prescribed by the Town Law and by this chapter, which powers and duties as related to zoning are summarized and more particularly specified in § 127-52.
After notification thereof, it shall be the duty of the Planning Board to submit a written opinion to the Board of Appeals with regard to any and all applications for special permits requested to be granted under the provisions for this chapter. Such opinion shall specifically refer to and make determinations concerning the findings required for special permits as set forth in §§ 127-23 and 127-46, wherever these are applicable.
