The office of Borough Manager is hereby established.
The members of Borough Council shall have the
right at any time to abolish the office of Borough Manager by enactment
of an ordinance.
While said office exists, the members of Borough
Council shall by majority vote appoint one person to fill said office
and shall from time to time, whenever there is a vacancy, appoint
one person to fill said office.
The Borough Manager shall be subject to removal
by the members of Borough Council at any time by a majority vote.
The powers and duties of the Borough Manager
shall be administration of all local government activities, including
but not limited to general administration, public works, road and
bridge projects, personnel management, finances, and such other duties
and responsibilities as the Borough Council may delegate, excluding
any legislative or judicial powers or duties of the Council members.
Compensation for the Borough Manager shall be
set by resolution by the Borough Council and paid out of the general
fund of the Borough.
The Borough Manager shall give bond to the Borough,
with sufficient surety, to be approved by the Borough Council, conditioned
on the faithful performance of the Borough Manager's duties.
