There shall be established a position to be
known as "Assistant City Clerk."

The Assistant City Clerk shall assist the City
Clerk, serve all members of Council in the daily conduct of their
office and assume the duties of the City Clerk in his or her absence.
The Assistant City Clerk shall be appointed
by Council by resolution and serve subject to such rules and regulations
as the Council shall provide.
