The City Engineer shall assign all street addresses
for buildings and structures. Those buildings and structures requiring
a street address are those classified as residential, assembly, business,
factory and industrial, high hazard, institutional, mercantile and
storage. Those buildings and structures not requiring an address are
temporary buildings and accessory buildings such as private garages
and sheds.
The owner of any newly constructed building
shall apply for a street address after the start of construction and
prior to receiving a certificate of occupancy. The owner of any existing
building without an address or any newly subdivided building or group
of buildings shall make immediate application for a street address.
The fee for assignment of an address shall be as provided in Chapter
285, Fees, of the Code of the City of Easton.
