Town of Hillsville, VA Article III Water and Sewer Fees and Charges

§ 167-21 Charges inside and outside Town limits.

A. Subscribers to Town water and/or sewer service residing inside or outside the Town limits shall pay such water and sewer rates and connection fees as are established from time to time by the Town Council.

B. Subscribers to the Town sewer service who are provided water by Carroll County Public Service Authority shall be charged at a rate equal to that rate charged to subscribers who are provided water by the Town's system. Public Service Authority water usage will be determined by regular meter readings.

C. Any subscriber who can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the Council, that his sewer usage is less than the amount of metered water may be granted a variance in the rate charged.

D. Written application for such rate variance shall be submitted to the Town Council at a regular meeting. Applications should be accompanied by the applicant's documentation justifying such variance. Upon application, the Town Council shall consider the request.
