Any dwelling units with three or more units per building shall have
two exits from each dwelling unit. One exit shall go directly to the outside
of the building by means of an exit door. For multiple-story buildings, a
rescue platform (exterior balcony) may be used. Rescue platforms shall be
designed and installed according to § IND 57.05, Wis. Adm. Code.
The second exit may use a common hallway or other normal means of ingress/egress.
