[Adopted 7-12-1993 by Res. No. 196]
Any time the Town, in daily usage, exceeds draws of 600,000 gallons for a period of three consecutive days, an automatic water ban will go into effect immediately.
The water ban will remain in effect until conditions require the Town to pump less than 500,000 gallons of water for at least three consecutive days.
At any time the water ban is put into effect the Town shall notify as best possible through advertisement, newspaper, radio broadcast or any reasonable method for purposes of advising the general citizenry.
The ban shall prohibit watering of lawns, gardens, personal washing of vehicles or boats, and any filling of swimming pools.
The Mayor and Council shall seek to install a dry hydrant system along the river shore to better enable the Fire Company to supply water during these periods of time.
Any violation of the provisions of this article shall be punishable as a municipal infraction as provided in Chapter 1, Article I.
