It shall be unlawful to maintain or construct
any driveway or access apron between any public street or alley across
the sidewalk or sidewalk area to the property line without written
authorization of the Town.
No such driveway or access apron shall exceed
35 feet in width, measured from the point of departure from the curbline
at each side.
In the interest of safety for pedestrians, no
two or more such driveways or access aprons shall be constructed immediately
adjacent to each other, and there shall be a minimum of 10 feet of
curb, gutter and sidewalk separating any such driveways or access
aprons, said curbs, gutters and sidewalks to be of such construction
as prescribed by the Town Commissioners.
A violation of this article shall be declared to be a municipal infraction and shall be subject to a penalty as provided in Chapter
1, General Provisions, §
1-8 of this Code.
