[Adopted 7-12-1971 as Ch. 83, Art. II, of the 1971 Code]
No person shall park, stop or stand any vehicle of any character whatsoever, whether attended or unattended, for a period longer than is necessary for the actual loading or unloading of passengers or merchandise upon the southeasterly side of Media Line Road from West Chester Pike to Pennview Avenue, Marple Township.
A. 
No person shall park, stop or stand any vehicle of any character whatsoever, whether attended or unattended, on the southeasterly side of Media Line Road, Marple Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, between the hours of 12:00 midnight to 7:00 a.m., Eastern standard time or Eastern standard daylight time.
B. 
Night parking is prohibited from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., and a tow-away zone is created, at the Park & Ride location on West Chester Pike (SR 0003) and Mather Avenue, as approved by the PA Department of Transportation (1-13-2003).

C. 
The parking of any vehicle of any character whatsoever after sunset or before sunrise in or on any property, park or recreation area owned, leased, maintained or operated by the Township is prohibited unless expressly permitted/authorized by designated signage or by permission obtained from the Township Manager. This prohibition shall not apply to vehicles serving official Township purposes, public library purposes, fire company purposes, or employees of such engaged in their duties.

A. 
Any person who shall violate the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof in a summary proceeding, be subject to a fine of not less than $1 nor more than $25 for each offense, and each daily occurrence of the same offense shall be considered as a new offense and fineable as such. In default of the payment of the fines, the offender shall be imprisoned for a period equal to one day for each $5 or fraction thereof of fine imposed.
B. 
Any person or persons who shall violate the provisions of this article may waive a summary proceeding and elect to pay the minimum fine of $1 to the Chief of Police, who shall thereupon issue a receipt to the offender of the ordinance or to someone on his behalf. The receipt shall be in triplicate form, numbered consecutively, and shall set forth the date the fine is paid, the amount paid, the name of the person paying the fine, or on whose behalf the same is paid, and the time and place of the violation. The duplicate receipt shall be forwarded to the Township Treasurer, together with the fine collected and to be by him deposited to the credit of the Township. The triplicate receipt is to be retained in the office of the Chief of Police.
