No building or other structure shall be erected wholly or partly in or over any street or sidewalk, unless the same shall be erected for temporary use and the consent of the Board therefor is first obtained.
All awnings hung or suspended over any sidewalk shall be suspended in a safe and secure manner and shall be so hung that the lowest part thereof shall be at least seven feet from the level of the ground.
No sign, placard or other device shall be placed or suspended over any street or sidewalk without the consent of the Board, and any sign suspended from any building or otherwise shall be at least 10 feet from the level of the ground at the lowest point, and shall be suspended in a safe and secure manner.

A. 
No goods, wares or merchandise, no signs, stands, cases or other devices for advertising purposes or for display of goods or otherwise shall be placed in or upon any street without the consent of the Village Board, unless it be for temporary purposes for transportation of the items from one place to another, in which case the item shall not be so placed as to obstruct or interfere with the proper use of the street.
B. 
Goods, wares or merchandise, signs, stands, cases or other devices for advertising or for display of goods or otherwise may be placed in an orderly manner on a sidewalk in front of a store dealing in the sale of the goods, wares or merchandise displayed, provided that a minimum of five feet of unobstructed walking space is left on the sidewalk. The safe passage of pedestrians on the sidewalk shall not be interfered with.
Any person, persons or corporation who violates any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not exceeding $250, or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both.
