Off-street parking spaces shall be required for all buildings constructed, extended and enlarged in use after the effective date of this chapter. Each off-street space shall consist of 162 square feet in a space nine feet wide by 18 feet wide. Each parking space shall be reached by an access driveway at least 24 feet in width. In addition, space necessary for aisles, maneuvering, safe pedestrian walkways and drives shall be provided. Handicapped parking spaces shall be supplied in accordance with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

For any building or parcel having more than one use, cumulative parking space shall be required as provided for each use, except as follows:
A. 
In general, parking shall be provided on the same lot as the principal use. However, in the Mixed-Use, Commercial and Industrial Districts only, parking may be provided on a separate lot or tax parcel that is within 300 feet of the principal use, provided there exists written permission from the property owner of said lot.
B. 
Floor area for the purpose of computing parking requirements shall be the sum of the habitable space within exterior walls of the several floors of a building, excluding basement, cellar and attic areas used primarily for storage or service.
C. 
All new parking lots shall be lighted in accordance with the standards in § 215-39.

The following schedule sets forth off-street parking requirements: (NOTE: Credit for off-street parking space shall be given to nonresidential uses for each 18 feet of legal parking space along the road frontage of the premises.)

A. 
At least one off-street loading space shall be provided for each commercial or industrial establishment hereafter erected or substantially altered to have a gross floor area in excess of 5,000 square feet, computed as described below. Off-street loading spaces shall be in addition to those required for off-street parking.
B. 
Each off-street loading space shall be no less than 12 feet wide, 40 feet long and 14 feet in height when covered. The Planning Board may waive this requirement if it finds it impractical or overly restrictive.
Any use required to have 50 or more parking spaces shall supply one bicycle rack per 50 spaces. The Planning Board at its discretion may modify this requirement or request the establishment of bicycle facilities to serve the community needs.
