The Commission shall have such powers and duties
as are set forth in Article XXXVII of the Third Class City Code.[1]

A.
The Recreation Commission shall be composed of nine
members: seven shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of
the Council; two shall be members of the Pottsville Area School District
and appointed by the School Board.

B.
The members of the Recreation Commission shall elect
their own Chairman and Secretary and shall elect all other necessary
officers who shall serve for a period of one year.
