[Amended 4-20-2004 by O-2004-4; 4-1-2010 by Ord. No. O-2010-17]
Rates for payment of police on off-duty assignments
shall be a per-hour sum provided for from time to time by resolution
of the Township Committee, from which shall be deducted and paid over
to the Township Chief Financial Officer the sum of 20% to defray the
anticipated costs of workers' compensation premiums, insurances, and
clerical and administrative expenses associated with such off-duty
assignments. Users for all off-duty police officers who wish to cancel
must give the Township a two-hour notice of cancellation (failure
to give a two-hour notice will result in three hours being billed
to the user). There is a minimum of three hours billed for each assignment.
[Amended 4-1-2010 by Ord. No. O-2010-17]
The Chief of Police or officer in charge shall
determine if off-duty assignments shall require the use of a police
motor vehicle, and, if so determined, the Chief shall impose and charge
a fee per hour or any part thereof for the use of said vehicle, with
said fee to be provided for from time to time by resolution of the
Township Committee, payable to the Township Chief Financial Officer.
