No person shall fire, set off or discharge any cannon, percussion, air or other gun, pistol, rocket, fireworks, gunpowder, firecrackers or other explosive in the Village of Athens without first having obtained a written permit therefor from the Mayor of the Village in accordance with New York State law.
Any person committing an offense against any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable as provided in Article I, General Penalty, of Chapter 1, General Provisions, of the Code of the Village of Athens.
