[Adopted 4-19-1973]
Pursuant to § 60-a of the New York State Town Law, Town Justices shall not be members of the Town Board of Lima, New York, and the membership of said Board shall consist of the Town Supervisor and four Town Councilmen.
Upon such resolution taking effect, the electors of the Town of Lima shall elect at the succeeding biennial Town election two additional Town Councilmen, one of which shall serve for a term of two years and one of which shall serve for a term of four years, each such term to commence on January 1, 1974, and thereafter said terms shall be for a period of four years each.
This resolution is subject to a permissive referendum.[1]
