Township of East Allen, PA Water Allocation Reservation Fee

Whereas the Township of East Allen is, from time to time, requested to reserve water allocations for various developments prior to the developments actually being completed and/or needing the water; and by said reservation the Township is reserving a portion of its water allocations for this developer; and whereas the Township is required, through the East Allen Municipal Authority, to take various actions concerning these allocation reservations; and whereas, it is the purpose of this article to authorize and establish a procedure for the collection of fees for this water allocation reservation on a “per lot” basis.

Now, therefore, a reasonable fee in an amount per lot as set from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors shall be charged for the reservation of water rights on a yearly basis. In addition, from time to time, it may be necessary for the Township to adjust this fee. Said fee can be reestablished at the commencement of each fiscal year by resolution setting the new fee.
