A. 
All applications for building permits having an estimated value of $5,000 or more shall be accompanied by an application for an overweight vehicle permit, which application shall state the number of overweight vehicles and the estimated weight thereof expected to supply the new construction site, the regularity or spacing of the overweight vehicles, and all roads, streets or highways expected to be traveled by the overweight vehicles.
B. 
All excavation sites involving the removal and transportation of 500 or more cubic yards of earth on Borough streets shall require an application for an overweight vehicle permit, setting forth the number of overweight vehicles and the estimated weight thereof, the regularity or spacing of the overweight vehicles, and all roads, streets or highways expected to be traveled by the overweight vehicles.
C. 
All street and sewer construction sites shall require an application for an overweight vehicle permit, setting forth the number of overweight vehicles and the estimated weight thereof, the regularity or spacing of the overweight vehicles, and all roads, streets or highways expected to be traveled by the overweight vehicles.
D. 
In no event shall an overweight vehicle permit be issued for a gross weight exceeding 18 tons except in special instances involving the moving of special machinery or equipment necessary for the construction contemplated in Subsections A through C hereof.
E. 
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this section, this section shall not apply to overweight vehicles loaded with bricks to be used in contemplated construction within the limits of the Borough. Such vehicles are limited to 4,000 bricks per load.
F. 
The Borough Secretary is hereby authorized to issue an overweight vehicle permit upon examination of the application provided for in this section.
G. 
A permit fee of $20 shall accompany each application for an overweight vehicle permit.
