It shall be the policy of the Orleans Board of Selectmen, acting
as the local licensing authority, to deny liquor, common victualler,
innholder, lodging or entertainment license renewals to any person,
corporation or business enterprise that has neglected or refused to
pay any local taxes, fees, assessments, betterments or other municipal
charges for not less than a twelve-month period.
Persons, corporations or business enterprises holding licenses shall be notified not less than thirty (30) days prior to the date for license renewal and any party affected by this policy shall be given a hearing according to Section 94-6 of the General By-Laws of the Town of Orleans and applicable state laws.
