The owner, occupant or person in charge of a lot adjoining a City street shall remove the snow from the sidewalks in front of such lot within five hours after each snowstorm and shall keep the sidewalks clear of snow and ice and, when slippery, keep the same safe by sanding or other effective means. A storm ceasing during the night shall be considered as ceasing at 7:00 a.m. the following morning.
No person shall, in removing snow or ice from a sidewalk or property adjoining a public street, cause the same to be placed in or upon such public street.

No person shall, in removing snow or ice from a sidewalk, driveway, parking lot or elsewhere, cause the same to be placed upon or around any fire hydrant in the City of Glens Falls in a manner which would obscure or obstruct the use of said fire hydrant.

Any person, firm or corporation convicted of violating the provisions of this article shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $250 or imprisonment for a term not to exceed 15 days, or both.

No person shall throw or cast any balls of ice or snow from any place into any of the public streets or highways in the City of Glens Falls.
The sum of $15 for the first offense and the sum of $25 for each offense thereafter shall be imposed upon any violator of this article.
