[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Nyack 7-30-1968 (Ch. 14 of the 1972 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
It shall be unlawful for any child under the age of 17 years to loiter, wander, stroll or be in or about the streets, avenues, alleys or public places in said Village between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., unless accompanied by a parent or other adult person having legal custody and control of such minor.
It is hereby made unlawful for any parent, guardian or other person having the legal care and custody of any child under the age of 17 years to allow, suffer or permit any such child to go or be in or upon any street, alley or public place within said Village after the time prescribed by § 153-1 of this chapter.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith or contradictory hereto, and prior ordinance adopted October 13, 1942, are hereby repealed.
A. 
Any policeman, constable or peace officer is hereby authorized to take into protective custody any such minor violating the provisions of § 153-1 of this chapter, and for the first violation thereof to take such minor to his or her home and notify the parent or guardian of such child of the violation of this chapter and the penalty therefor if again arrested.
B. 
Upon the second violation of this chapter, said parent or guardian shall be punished by a fine of not exceeding $100.
The Board of Trustees also ordains that a violation of this chapter shall constitute disorderly conduct[1] and that the person violating the same shall be a disorderly person; and such violation shall constitute disorderly conduct and such person shall be a disorderly person.

In addition to all other remedies, the Board of Trustees may also enforce obedience to this chapter by injunction.[1]
