As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
BICYCLE
Every two- or three-wheeled device upon which a person or
persons may ride, propelled by human power through a belt, a chain
or gears, with such wheels in a tandem or tricycle, except that it
shall not include such a device having solid tires and intended for
use only on a sidewalk by preteenage children.
A. No person
over the age of 12 shall ride a bicycle with wheels larger than 20
inches upon or along any sidewalk of the Village of Baldwinsville
except to cross same.
B. No person
shall drive a motorcycle or motor vehicle upon or along any sidewalk
in the Village of Baldwinsville except as permitted by Vehicle and
Traffic Law § 1225-a.
Any person violating this chapter shall be subject to a penalty
of not to exceed $25 for the first offense and not to exceed $50 for
any subsequent offense.
