The Agricultural Commission shall serve as facilitators for
encouraging the pursuit of agriculture in Salisbury and promote agricultural-based
economic opportunities in the Town. The Commission shall consist of
five members, appointed by the Board of Selectmen. The Commission
shall consist of a minimum of three members who are actively involved
in farming in Salisbury and another two members who are interested
in farming. The initial appointments shall include three members who
shall be appointed for a term of three years and two members for a
term of two years. Thereafter, all appointments shall be made for
three-year terms. The Board of Selectmen, as the appointing authority,
shall fill any vacancy on the Commission based on the unexpired term
of the vacancy in order to maintain the cycle of appointments.
