101.1 Title: These regulations shall be known as
the "Building Code of Penn Township," hereinafter referred to as "this
code."

112.3.1 Fee schedule: Fee for plan examination,
building permits and inspections shall be set, from time to time,
by resolution of the Penn Township Board of Commissioners.

116.2 Notice of violation: The Code of Penn Township
stipulates that no notice shall be required prior to the prosecution
of any violation under any Township ordinance. As a courtesy, the
Code Official may serve a notice of violation or order on the person
responsible for the erection, construction, alteration, extension,
repair, removal, demolition, use of occupancy of a building or structure
in violation of the provisions of this code, or in violation of a
detail statement or a plan approved thereunder, or in violation of
a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of this code.
Such order shall direct the discontinuance of the illegal action or
condition and the abatement of the violation.

The notice may be in one or more of the following forms:

Notification in person by the Code Official;

2.

Notification by telephone;
| |
3.
|
Written notification delivered by the Code Official or sent
through the mail system;

4.

Posting of the notice on the affected property.

116.4 Violation penalties: Any person who shall violate a provision of this code or shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, construct, alter or repair a building or structure in violation of an approved plan or directive of the Code Official, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of this code, shall be subject to the fines and penalties as set forth in Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty, of the Penn Township Code. Each day that a violation continues shall be deemed as a separate offense.

117.2 Unlawful continuance: Any person who shall continue any work in or about the structure after having been notified or served with a stop-work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe conditions, shall be subject to the fines and penalties as set forth in Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty, of the Penn Township Code.

1005.5.2 Exterior openings above grade: All exterior
openings above grade which are intended to be used as a means of egress
(e.g., sliding doors) shall exit onto a minimum platform of three
feet by three feet. Reference CABO Section R-212.

3408.2 Applicability: Buildings existing prior
to June 15, 1998, in which there is work involving alterations, additions
or changes of occupancy, shall be made to conform to the requirements
of this section or the provisions of Sections 3403.0 through 3407.0.
