There is hereby established in the City a Fire Department.

The Fire Chief shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the consent
and approval of the majority of the members of the Board of Aldermen,
and shall serve in such capacity at the pleasure of the Mayor and
the majority of the Board of Aldermen.
