As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
COIN-CONTROLLED AMUSEMENT DEVICE
A machine which, upon the insertion of a coin or slug, operates or may be operated or used as a game or contest of any description, or which may be used for any such game or contest, and which does not contain any form of payoff device for the return of slugs, money, coin, checks, tokens or merchandise, and shall include pinball machines and other coin-controlled devices in which marbles, balls or pellets are projected or propelled by spring or plunger or any other means whereby such marbles, balls or pellets fall into slots, tracks, grooves or position or whereby said marbles, balls or pellets strike pins or objects. Such term, however, shall not include any coin-controlled automatic music device or coin-controlled record-playing machine, as defined in §
193-29, or mechanical amusement device, as defined by §
193-26 of this chapter. "Coin-controlled amusement device" shall also include:
A.
Any type of coin-controlled moving-picture machine or device
showing pictures of any type or description, including any type of
coin-controlled devices regulating and allowing the observing of live
shows and/or entertainment of any type upon the insertion of a coin,
such "coin-controlled devices" as defined in this section.

B.
Any type of coin-controlled pool table or billiard table, in
whatever form the game is permitted to be played.
C.
Video-type games or machines or similar devices that use a display
screen for points, lines and dots of light that can be manipulated
to simulate games or other types of entertainment.
COIN-CONTROLLED DEVICE
Any device actuated by the insertion of a coin or any type
of monetary consideration to regulate any type of amusement device
by the measure of time, length, feet or by any other type of time
measurement. Any type of device measuring time shall first be certified
as to the accuracy of the timing device by the City of Camden Bureau
of Weights and Measures, and proof of such certification shall be
submitted to the Chief License Inspector before a license will be
issued.
No coin-controlled time measurement device shall be permitted
on any licensed premises unless a sign is first posted in full view
of the general public stating the exact amount of time or measure
to be obtained by the insertion of a coin, slug, card or any other
type of monetary consideration.
A separate license shall be obtained for each coin-controlled
amusement device.

Coin-controlled amusement device licenses, as required and defined
in this chapter, shall not be issued to any person for placement in
any premises, or permitted to be placed in any premises, until such
premises are first licensed by the Division of Inspections for the
type of primary business intended to be conducted on said premises.
No person shall use or permit to be used any coin-controlled
amusement device licensed hereunder for the purpose of gambling.
Use and/or operation of any coin-controlled amusement device,
as defined in this article, shall not be permitted between the hours
of 1:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. This prohibition shall apply to licensees,
attendants and patrons.
No alcoholic beverages shall be sold, served, delivered or consumed,
nor shall any licensee suffer to permit the sale, service, delivery
or consumption of any alcoholic beverages upon the premises licensed
under any section of this article, directly or indirectly.
