No person or business shall sponsor or hold an event within
the Village of Indian Point, Missouri, for any purpose that utilizes
Village streets without first applying for a permit. An "event" is
considered an activity that is not a normal routine business conducted
daily. Guests of resorts or shows are not considered part of an event.
An event normally is a one-time or short-duration situation that is
intended to draw a large crowd.

An application must be made and the issuance of a permit by
the Village before any event takes place. The dates and location of
the event must be clearly identified. Estimates of crowd size must
be provided along with what provisions have been made for crowd control,
traffic control and what provision has been made for cleaning up any
trash and litter. Sanitary facilities must be available. A surety
bond may be required if it is determined necessary to ensure these
requirements are fulfilled. All applications will be reviewed by the
Village Administrator and dealt with on an individual basis.

The fee for an event permit will be in accordance with the fee
schedule approved by the Board of Trustees. Failure to obtain an event
permit will result in the event being shut down and payment of all
expenses involved and a fine not to exceed two hundred fifty dollars
($250.00) and/or thirty (30) days in jail.
