The office of City Engineer is hereby created, subject to appointment
by the Board of Aldermen. The City Engineer shall be an independent
contractor who shall serve at the pleasure of the Board until a successor
is appointed.

The City Engineer shall be responsible for consultation on an
as-needed basis for the review of site plans, the inspection of developments
and any other technical review or inspection deemed necessary by the
City's Planning and Zoning Commission or the Board of Aldermen.

Compensation of the City Engineer shall be as provided by the
Board of Aldermen by ordinance from time to time; provided however,
that the City Engineer shall not be authorized for any consulting
services absent a determination as to the availability of funds for
said compensation.

The Board of Aldermen hereby appoints Sterling Engineering as
the City Engineer.
