No person, firm or corporation shall erect, maintain or permit
to be erected or maintained upon his premises, for gain, any billiard
or pool tables or operate any device, machine or contrivance for entertainment
which is operated by the placing of a coin in said instrument or in
any mechanism connected thereto, or by in any manner paying the owner
or operator thereof a fee or charge of any kind, without first obtaining
a license as herein provided.
No person, firm or corporation shall operate or permit to be
operated at any restaurant, soft drink parlor, ice cream parlor, or
other place where merchandise of any kind, including liquor or fermented
malt beverages, is sold any electrical or mechanical contrivance or
device capable of emitting sound for entertainment purposes, except
during the hours as said establishment is legally open for business;
provided, however, that any such licensee may lose the privilege of
operating between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. or such license
upon the filing of a written complaint with the Town Clerk and after
a public hearing thereof before the Town Board and notice of such
public hearing given to the licensee.
No person licensed to keep any billiard table, pool table, or
other device under this article shall allow or permit any kind of
rioting, reveling, drunkenness, or lewd or disorderly conduct on the
licensed premises or shall use or permit the use of such billiard
table, pool table, or other device so kept by him for the purpose
of gambling.
The annual fee for all licenses granted under this article shall
be as included in the Town of Algoma Fee Schedule on file in the Town
offices.

It shall be unlawful for any person to carry on within the Town
of Algoma any roller-skating rink or theatrical entertainment, including
outdoor or indoor moving-picture theaters, without first having obtained
a license therefor as hereinafter provided.
The license fee shall be as included in the Town of Algoma Fee
Schedule on file in the Town offices.
Application for such license shall be made in writing to the
Town Clerk, including the name of the applicant, the place where such
business or entertainment is to be carried on, the nature thereof,
and all other necessary information required by the Clerk or Town
Board.
In case the license applied for is for an indoor facility, the
same shall not be issued until the electrical wiring, installation
and apparatus therefor and all lighting for the same shall have been
inspected by the Building Inspector and approved by him and his certificate
therefor obtained, nor unless the hall, theater or place where such
show is proposed to be held shall conform to the requirements of the
Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services with reference
to the seating arrangements, means of egress and the construction
of the building and shall have been inspected by the Building Inspector
and a certificate of such inspection obtained.
Upon the compliance with the conditions of this article by the
applicant, the license shall be signed by the Clerk and delivered
to the applicant. The license shall state the amount of fee paid,
the duration of the license, the nature of the business and entertainment
licensed, the place where the same is to be conducted and the name
of the licensee.
Such license shall be of no validity after the expiration of
the time fixed thereon and shall not be assignable.
