GENERAL REFERENCES

All public recreation parks maintained and owned/leased by the Township of Conewago shall hereafter be used and enjoyed by the general public under and subject to such rules and regulations as shall be preserved for such user in the interest of the health, safety, morals and convenience of the general public by the Township Manager and in accordance with the regulations as established pursuant to 7 Pa. Code 137b.64(a).
A. 
Copies of the rules and regulations adopted in conformity with the provisions of § 101-1 of this chapter labeled "Park Rules," shall be posted in a prominent place in each public recreation park, the user of which is affected thereby.
B. 
The following shall be posted in each public recreation park:
(1) 
All recreation and parks areas are open to the public between dawn and dusk throughout the year.
(2) 
In the event of hazardous conditions endangering life or property, any park, recreation area or facility may be closed to public use at the discretion of the Township Manager or appointed person.
(3) 
Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs are prohibited.
(4) 
Boisterous, immoral or indecent conduct is prohibited.
(5) 
Trash, garbage and all other litter must be placed in containers provided for the purpose and shall be limited to material accumulated during normal use of the parks and recreation areas.
(6) 
There shall be no removing, altering, molesting, injuring, or damaging anything material or physical within any park or recreation area.
(7) 
Open fires and the use of charcoal or gas grills are prohibited except in areas specifically designated and equipped for same.
(8) 
Soliciting for any purpose or the posting of signs is prohibited.
(9) 
Hunting or the use or discharge of any type of firearm, air, BB, or pellet gun, slingshot or explosive device, whether by powder, air, water or other propellant, is prohibited.
(10) 
The use of golf clubs and golf balls is expressly forbidden.
(11) 
The use of fireworks in the parks or recreation areas is prohibited. The restriction as to use of fireworks encompasses all types of fireworks, including sparklers.
(12) 
The parking or standing of motor vehicles anywhere other than those areas specifically designated is prohibited.
(13) 
No motor vehicles shall be permitted unless authorized by the Township Manager.
Any person who violates or permits a violation of this chapter shall, upon being found liable therefor in a civil enforcement proceeding commenced by the Township before a Magisterial District Judge, pay a fine of not more than $600, plus all court costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, incurred by the Township in the enforcement of this chapter. Each day a violation exists shall constitute a separate offense. Further, the appropriate officers or agents of the Township are hereby authorized to enforce compliance by filling an action in equity in lieu of a civil action filed before a Magisterial District Judge.
The chapter adopted shall be deemed to be incorporated into Conewago Township Code so that reference shall be understood and intended to include such changes by resolution.
