Pursuant to the authorization that is provided by N.J.S.A. 40A:14-95,
there hereby is established an auxiliary to the North Wildwood Fire
Department to be known as the "Junior Firemen's Auxiliary" to be operated
in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:14-95, et seq.,
and such rules, regulations and standard operating procedures as are
consistent with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:14-98 and which are
approved by a duly adopted resolution of the City Council.
Membership in the Junior Firemen's Auxiliary shall be limited
to those individuals who meet the eligibility requirements that are
set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:14-96 and in the rules, regulations and
standard operating procedures of the Junior Firemen's Auxiliary that
are approved by duly adopted resolution of the City Council.
Members in good standing of the Junior Firemen's Auxiliary shall
be provided with the same insurance coverage, in the same amounts,
as is provided by the City of North Wildwood to members of the Volunteer
Division of the North Wildwood Fire Department.
No rule, regulation or standard operating procedure for the
Junior Firemen's Auxiliary shall be effective unless it is consistent
with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:14-98 and has been approved by
a duly adopted resolution of City Council.
If any portion of this Ordinance is determined to be invalid
by a court of competent jurisdiction, that determination shall have
no effect upon the remainder of this Ordinance, which shall remain
valid and operable.
