The City of North Wildwood hereby adopts, approves and makes
applicable to the property and citizens of the City of North Wildwood
the current editions of the following codes: the International Property
Maintenance Code, the International Residential Code, the International
Building Code, the International Fire Protection Code and all other
applicable New Jersey adopted model codes for the control of buildings
and structures as therein provided, and each and all of the regulations
of those codes are specifically adopted and made a part hereof as
though set forth herein at length, as permitted by N.J.S.A. 40:49-5.1.
Successor editions of these codes, as periodically published, and
as amended from time to time, shall be binding when published and
distributed to the City of North Wildwood.
Said codes shall be enforced by the City's Construction
Official and/or by the individual or individuals holding the State
of New Jersey, Department of Personnel, title of "Field Representative,
Property Improvement" and/or any other City Code Enforcement Officers
employed by the City of North Wildwood.
Any person or organization of persons convicted of a violation
of any of the provisions of these New Jersey adopted Model Codes shall
be subject to a fine of not less than $100 and not more than $1,250,
or imprisonment not exceeding 90 days, or both, at the discretion
of the court. Each day that a violation continues after due notice
has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.
