Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 21:3-1 et seq., upon occasions of public celebrations and exhibitions the Township Council may grant permits for the display and discharge of fireworks, which permit shall define the kind and place of such display, the method of storage and such other conditions as may appear necessary or proper for the public safety, which permit shall be signed by the Chairman of the Township Council and attested by the Municipal Clerk.
The Township Council may grant permits for the discharge of firearms in such competitive shooting as trap-shooting, skeet-shooting or other range shooting. Such permits shall be granted only upon proper application showing the sites at which and the hours during which the applicant desires to hold such shoots, and further, only after it shall be made to appear that such shoots can be properly held at such sites and during such hours with appropriate and due regard for public safety and well-being. Such permit may be granted for the calendar year upon terms and conditions necessary to public safety and well-being, and may be revoked at any time upon a showing that any condition of the granting of such permit has not been complied with. The fees for such annual permit shall be found in Chapter 156 of this Code. Any annual permit shall expire on the 31st day of December in the year in which it was granted. Fees shall be collectible by the Municipal Clerk.
