A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the business of operating an establishment where body art procedures are performed without first obtaining a license from the Lawrence Township Health Department.
B. 
Body art establishment licenses shall be issued on an annual basis upon payment of an annual license fee as specified in Chapter 5 of the Code of Lawrence Township and upon satisfactory compliance with the New Jersey State Sanitary Code. Upon issuance, the license shall not be transferable. Any change in ownership shall require submission of a new application with payment of fees. All applicants shall submit plans for the establishment to the Lawrence Township Health Department prior to approval for a building permit.
C. 
Facility locations with on-site sewage systems must provide annual reports of septic system maintenance, satisfactory operation and annual pumping history. Evidence of a failing or malfunctioning sewage system would be cause of the closure of said facility until the violation is abated to the satisfaction of the Health Department.
D. 
Facilities served by an on-site well water system shall be considered a public water system. Acceptable bacterial water quality reports shall be provided to the Health Department during each quarter. Evidence of a falling of water quality would be cause for the closure of said facility until the violation is abated to the satisfaction of the Health Department.
E. 
Medical waste generated at the facility shall be stored and disposed of properly according to state regulation, N.J.A.C. 7:26-3A.

A. 
The annual license fee shall be as stated in Chapter 156, and the license shall be issued on February 1 of each year.
B. 
There shall be a delinquent charge as stated in Chapter 156, Fees, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, where the operator of a body art establishment falls to apply for a license by February 1.

A. 
Any violation of the provisions of this chapter shall be grounds for enforcement action by the Lawrence Township Health Department. Such penalty action may include a summons being issued in Municipal Court, or suspension, revocation or nonrenewal of the body art establishment license issued by the Lawrence Township Health Department.
B. 
Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction be liable for the penalty stated in Chapter 1, Article III. Each day that this violation exists shall be considered a separate offence.
