[Adopted 12-9-2014 by Ord. No. 5327 (Ch. 416 of the 2004 Code)]
The light intensity from sports lights, whether on public or private property, shall not exceed 0.5 footcandle along any property line or 0.3 footcandle at a residential property line during the hours from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Light intensity from sports lights after 10:00 p.m. as measured at a residential property line shall not exceed 0.1 footcandle. The objective of these specifications is to minimize undesirable off-premises effects. To achieve these requirements, the intensity of such light sources shall be controlled with light shielding or lower-wattage bulbs, or both.
Violation of this article shall be enforced by the Code Enforcement Officer or his or her designee.
[Amended at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I)]
